Art of Astonishment

Postby trickyricky » Oct 11th, '06, 18:15

Hi guys, just a quick couple of questions. What is another place that i can buy the Art of Astonishment books individually? Apart from penguin (who have sold out), and magictricks (who seem to have a problem with their system, as when i select one volume, it sends me somewhere else).

Also, which volume would you say is the best in terms of the best trick reactions?

Thanks, Rich

I actually put the entire set on order from ellusionist yesterday the price is really good, like 110 USD for the lot.
I live in Ireland and I have a friend who lives pretty close to me and orders alot from there. He said that it normally only takes four or five days to deliver using the standard airmail shipping option (The cheapest).
You might be better off getting them from there with the strength of the GBP at the moment, it will probably work out cheaper.

A quick warning on buying from the US - i bought Card College from US and had to pay around £40 in customs. This doesn't always happen, as the customs people will sometimes overlook items that are labelled 'training material' or similar.... not in my case though.

That is one of the reasons why i didnt want to buy from the us. To be honest, with the high shipping costs from Ellusionist, i doesnt end up being that much cheaper!

I did not find the shipping that bad. It was like 30 USD for the lot which is only like twenty euro.

On penguin the individual books are not sold out, just the set of all three.

I sent an email to the UK office of penguin and they said that they should have the Art of Astonishment books back in in about a month.

THE Art of Astonishment books will soon be at NUMS, £25 each (vols 1-3) or just £68.99 for the 3 volume set.

Hopefully by mid next week.
