New coin in bottle effect!

Postby Mooch » Oct 14th, '06, 15:03

Hey,
I posted a topic about this trick a while ago, but the videos in that were pretty terrible, and the description quite confusing. Since then I have completely remade the effect, so the handling is far smoother and the effect much easier to perform.
The video can be found here:

http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?doc ... 6727402745

The lighting in this video is far better, and the bottle is clear, which should make it easier for you to see the coin inside the bottle. Also, as I was asked this when I showed the video to a friend, the bottle does not have to be opened after the coin has penetrated it. It is only opened in the video to show that it cannot fit through the neck.
The coin itself can be borrowed and signed, if you wish, and the bottle can be examined before and after the trick. Also, the coin doesn't have to fit through the neck of the bottle, as shown in the video. However if it does, the spectator can remove it from the bottle.
It doesn't just have to be a coin that penetrates the bottle either. A borrowed ring could be used, or a selected card. Other borrowed items could also be used.
Another aspect of this trick that I like is the fact that it can be instantly repeated. For example, if you met a couple and wanted to perform this trick for them, you could borrow a coin from each of them and make each coin penetrate the bottle, one right after the other.
I hope you like the new video, I'm really pleased with the new handling :)
Lastly, thank you for taking the time to read through all of this and watch the video.

That was very nice and smooth is that a marketed effect or one of your own. If it is one of your own i would suggest trying to get it marketed because it looks better than most of them on the market now :D .

Thanks lindz! I really appreciate such a great comment :D
The effect is one that I made up a couple of months ago and have been working on since. I may try to get it marketed, if other people like it. The people that I have shown it to (both through this video and in person) have been blown away by it every time, so I think it might be worth it :)
Thanks again.

Go for it market it i want one. Seriously ill buy this just to find out the secret and ive got nearly every coin in bottle/can there is out there. I dont perform them as it dont fit my style plus alot of them seem a bit inpractical but on an honest note i usually have an incline as to how there done but this as got me thinking. Ive even got my own version of coin in pringle tin which im hoping to get out there so i know a fair bit about this sort of thing. Im gonna be thinking about this all night. Good luck tell me how it goes.

Thanks again lindz!
I'm still currently working on the effect, trying to make the handling even smoother, and some other extras. Once I've got everything done, I will probably make an instructional video and see if I can get it out there. I'll be sure to let you know when I get it out ;)
Thanks again,
Harry.
