when magicicans predict the lottery .........

Postby shweeny666 » Oct 16th, '06, 18:28

is this real, is the person a fake ???

or is it a different version of tricks like david copperfield's graffiti wall
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMsMxoyli_8
in that trick he predicts what people will say and it comes up on paper, different but kind of the same

the main magicians that do it are copperfield and blaine

Just a question, no offense, but how many illusionists have you seen.

And if they could really predict the results accurately, would they still be trying to make a living as magcians?

It's actually a good routine but I love the opening patter, 'I keep getting these premonitions, you know, when you think of something and it comes true later on'. Gee thanks Dave, I never would have figured that one out  !

it was on TV

honestly, on a david copperfield special he picks a member of the audience and predicts the numbers on and it is SCRTACHCARD,

DAVID BLAINE gave this homeless man on tv a scrtachcard and it had the winning numbers for a sequence to win money on something

fine its fake

however blaine took the cameraman with him when he took the man to collect his winnings,

maybe the man who hands out the cheques was an actor too

Camera trickery, stooges and 'familiars' can all be suitable explanations for anything you see on TV.

A lottery booth can be bribed to payout bounty—some of these magicians would find $10,000 a drop in the ocean compared to the ensuing reaction.

It's all a big illusion. I am sure that Mr Browning will interject and agree that there are people who can lay claim to predictions of the future, but on such an accurate scale, under 'test' conditions, perhaps not.

Criss Angel did this on one of his Mindfreak shows as well.

Told some lady he'd split the winnings with her, if he could accuratly predict which lotto ticket was a winner.

they pullled down the roll, and he picked certain ones, not just the one that was on the end of the roll.

not a huge winner, but was $10 or something..

blah.. boring.
