I am sorry to hear that trickyricky. What were you studying ? I am studying Civil Engineering and I hope I wont get dropped out. The fees are so expensive because I am an international student.

By the way, may i know where you from?

I was doing Mechanical Engineering and Business Management. Not really for me though. Going over to America hopefully next year to do a 2 year course in Computer Networking. I live about 30 minutes away from Birmingham University at the moment.

Make sure you sign upto JUGS if you're into clubbing and drinking! They did the best nights i have ever had! 9 or 10 bars and they give you tshirts that act as your ticket, and everybody writes stuff on them! Its great fun! Even if you come back with flowers and hearts drawn on your cheeks in permanent marker.....

Wow, thx for the information.. i will check it out 1 day... may i know where is the JUGS located? I juz reached birmingham last week and every night they are bunch of people knocking on our doors asking us out for drinks..

In Malaysia no people does that and i was surprised when i saw this. UK is a very cool place .. haha..

Do you know any magic shop available near the uni of birmingham? Thx.

Unfortunately there are no magic shops close to birmingham uni any more , the juggling shop in selly oak up the road from the uni used to sell magic but the owner has decided to stop it due to his religious convictions. There is keith bennet but it is a long bus journey away his web site though is http://www.kbmagic.co.uk/ it might be worth looking at. Also there is a magic society that meets on a tuesday in selly oak which you might want to go to, thier website is http://www.britishmagicalsociety.co.uk/. Hope this helps and you have a good time in birmingham

There are magic shops close to Birmingham though! Hop on a train to Stourbridge, wait thirty minutes or so, take a ten minute walk and arrive at The House of Magic! Spend some time chatting and perusing, leave, do the above steps in reverse :D.

HOM is the only one I go to that's localish, and a great little shop it is too.

Hey, i never knew about that magic club! How did i not hear about this?

Sorry about the long reply, i lost track of this thread! The JUGS information board is in the Shell Lounge In the Engineering Building. Theres boards up for all the different types of engineering which are slightly different but tend to do the same kind of social events!

And after a change of heart....i may be rejoining the university next year!
