Its amazing when you ask spectators to name any magic word.. they never think of one.. when some one says abracadabra I sometimes reply.. ' What century are you living in>?' then tell them that has been replace by 'Ouja Wooja Buja Wud' which is some thing my Dad used to shout when he chased us round the house as kids This totally disarms spectators and they either laugh or look at you weird, you then do the pass at a snails pace and they wont notice!!

Ok, perhaps this is a good time to ask for other favourite magic words? We can split this off to a separate post if required.

Sadly, the one I always remember after Abracadabra, Hey Presto and Hocus Pocus is

Yeh I think a seperate topic would be quite adequate and attract attention.. and certainly be interesting!!

Not to get too serious about this, but, as with everything a lot is down to the delivery. Richard Sanders has a good delivery of 'Chikka chikka ching bots!!!' on fibre optics, and dare I say Jay Sankey (wince) lets out a pretty mean 'ZOOOMBA!!!' on anytime anywhere!

I find that when asked, lots os specs can't even remember Hocus Pocus or abracadabra

It's often amusing how much prompting you need to give them to think of the word you're after , possibly becasue they're on the spot and it's not a word that they use too often.
