A little hint for you - it is possible to leave 10 balls, but you need to start the game with the 1 empty slot in one of 3 positions (I'll let you work out which 3 they are ), otherwise you'll be at it all night

Good idea - if you showed where the 10 balls ended up - it'd make it a lil' easier for people to figure out and we wouldn't want that now, would we

The way I sussed this was to work out where 10 balls could be left without there being any more possible moves. Then work backwards to the starting position. Have fun

Was about to post that all people who make puzzles like this should be shot
But now I belive them all to be enlightened wonderfull people.
Would be living in the land of smug if it were not for this infernal headache
In reflection it's quite a bad headache so lets shoot them anyway

That's the making of a computer programmer you have there! In fact, solid logic for life, methinks

The puzzle's a good un, and if you sit there random clicking you may eventually find it... but test your IQ and try what moonbeam says.

I get the hint now. And its alot easier if you think about where you cant get any more moves first.
