Hello Guys

I am new in this forum, & I don't know that much about magic, I have recently
saw the DVD of the illusionist "David Copperfield" And I wondered What does that man do? specially when he cuts himself in half, and whan he FLIES on stage (I think that was beyond any imagination, there is no way that man was tied with ropes....)

The DVD is "15 Years Of Magic", I just want to know if there are any other DVDs for that brilliant illusionist "David Copperfield"???? And If There are any other magicians that can compete with that man's fabulous work??!!

I have read some articles in here they try to compare David Copperfield with David Blaine ... what a huge mistake >>> David Copperfield without any doubt is the best there is , the best there was, and the best that ever will be.

I Have said that after i saw the show of David Blaine :Street Magic 2006 , I had to admit he is good but there is no way he can do what David Copperfield had achieved.

I don't want to bore you I just want to ask if any of you knows other DVDs that David Copperfield has made? or if you can suggest any other magician who had done stuff like that???

Hi Rami

Some magicians like, and some don't like Copperfield. Personally, I'm a huge fan of Copperfield and many of his effects, particularly the two that you've mentionned being the death saw and flying.

Tomo: I want to say that i liked this site the most, and i have read tens of articles about several magicians and all articles remotely related to David Copperfield....

This site contains tons of articles & I am not majoring in magic (I am a computer engineer) thats why I asked these 2 little questions, I am not trying to test your knowledge I am requesting your help because I am sure that all of you know about that topic more than me, SO PLEASE FORGIVE MY IGNORANCE....

by the way I did not get what you meant exactly by:

I'm not aware of any other DVD's that Copperfield has made. He has predominantly made TV specials and the resulting Illusions DVD was compiled form these TV shows to mark a showbiz anniversary - and to make a few extra bucks no doubt.

I suppose that the odern day equivilent to Copperfield has to be Angel although as you may already know he has a totally different style of presentation. As for others that can compete - I'm afraid that magic genres is a very personal choice for both lay people and magicians.

I don't think David Copperfield is better than Blaine; nor vice versa.
They do not compete, they are in 2 different categories... Then it is a question of taste: do you prefer big illusions, or (dare I say) street magic?

Jerome the French: i prefer big illusions since i am not interested in the entity of the magic i just want to be entertained ... so do u have a suggestion ....

i am now download the Mindfreak show of Criss Angel ... I think it is really good ... but i like amazing effects like the ones David Copperfield is using.

I agree with Jerome.

Whilst a do enjoy both of these styles of magic, I don't like Blaine's presentation or persona.

Copperfield is a master showman in my opinion and love him or loathe him, you can't fault his dedication toward perfecting his act. Perhaps a lesson for us all.

I actually had the opportunity to work for Copperfield and I can't reveal too much or anymore personal information, but what I can tell you is that he gets supernatural help.

It may sound kooky and crazy, but David Kotkin is a master occultist. He is known as a Nephilim. Google it if you don't know what that is. He is so freaking good at denying these claims and lying to people by saying, "It's not magic, but illusions!" However, I know him personally and I can testify for a fact that he lies to his fans in order to protect his image.

He isn't what he seems. Just look at his eyes. The eyes are the window to the soul and let me tell you, he's rotten to the core.
