Movie Maker Problem...

Postby ultimatecreate » Oct 31st, '06, 14:07

Hey all,

Making my next magic vid, but wondered if anyone knew how to incorporate sounds from the video but mixing it with an mp3 music track at the same time. The reason I ask is im filming coin in soda can and want to give the coin rattling in the can sound while still having background music.

Anyone help?

Cheers,

A

If you are using Windows Movie Maker (as seems the case from the thread title) then it is very simple indeed. Simply import the relevant Video and Audio files (the latter being the desired mp3). Drag the video into the usual video section of the filmstrip. If you press the '+' icon next to the word video this will reveal the audio associated with the video. Then if you drag and drop the mp3 file into the audio/music section of the film strip it will then have both audio sections - that from the video, and from the mp3, playing together. All that is left then, is to save the movie file in the usual manner.

Also, you can control the amount of sounds coming from each piece of media by clicking the "Set Audio Levels" icon, just above the timeline and next to the microphone icon. So you can control the music to video audio ratio. :D

Personally I don't use Windows Movie Maker anymore, I find Sony Vegas is easy, can do it all and more, plus it is more variable than WMM.
