i've been working on the pass for some time now-- when i do it, i usually first point the deck upwards, and as i execute the move... i let the deck fall horizontal again... that way the motion of the top half can cover the bottom half moving under... i try to show the spectator the back of the cards straight on (as opposed to a side or some other angle).
it's usually pretty good but i still need some work...
