Yahooo!

Now, if we could just get 5% of them to participate on a regular basis we could have a very busy and possibly progressive forum

I've never understood the act of joining a group by name only, never interacting and most important, never sharing (just taking, as it would be in the case of our lookers and gawkers).

Congratulations TM! It would be nice if more people who registered contributed.

Well, I think that is why we have a restricted forum. If you dont contribute, you dont get to be part of the whole community. As with many communities, there will always be those who take, and never give.

I just hope that I can contribute enough to the forum for some of you folks to notice me and look at me in a positive light.

edit: In another forum I belonged to, we had upwards of 40 thousand members, most of which had 1 post and then left. They eventually pruned (deleted) the members who had not signed in in over 2 years. Could we have a similar process at TM?

If you do contribute, you often still don't get access to the restricted forums.

A prune down of long time absent members in excess of 6 months maybe a good idea!!! And perhaps the one post wonders who get instantly berated because they only come looking for the secret to a trick!

Well done though TM..... you've kept me entertained and informed for 3 yrs or more now! I raise my beer to you also!! Cheers :)

Ian, I think you may be bitter, partly because you dont have access to the restricted forum yet???

If this is true, give it time. You will get it when you deserve it, and I expect the same for myself.

Well, this is the 3rd forum I have joined "proper" (don't really post on the others anymore) and I have to say that if you (or rather "we"!) have an elitest reputation, I have found it to be unwarranted - I find TM talk to be among the most civilised, respectful and useful kind of cybernet-type-talk I have seen, so a top hat off to you all!

I will second that. I currently post on 6, and this is by far the most mature one.
