help me solve this

Postby yo » Nov 6th, '06, 21:06

hi my 2 friends did this trick... its messing my head.. cant solve it man.

ok... heres what happened in the living room.

Mr.A goes out of the room.. i hand a list to Mr. B... the list looks like this

No.1 = T.V
No.2 = Table
No.3 = Fan
No.4 = Sofa
No.5 = Lamp.... and so on and so on... basically house objects been given numerals

Now this is what happens.
Mr B. says, "Mr A. i want you to tell them which is object no.4"
so then Mr A says, "OK... start"

Mr.B: is it the T.V
Mr.A: No

Mr.B: is it the Table
Mr.A: No

Mr.B: is it the Fan
Mr.A: No

Mr.B: is it the Sofa
Mr.A: Yes
(..and mr.a is still out of the room and hasnt even seen the list)

... and they got this right with even 15 random objects!!! * beats the hell out of me... how do they do this

please think of a way... its really boggling... there was no voice modulation or pitch changing in the voice... its something really dumb we're missing out on

Sorry but TM isn't a magic exposure forum. You don't seem like a magician merely a curiosity-seeker, and if that's true then just enjoy the magic!

I'd suggest you re-read the first part of Cardza's post..
Sorry but TM isn't a magic exposure forum

if youd like somewhere you could ask it try searching on google for something along the lines of "magic secrets revealed" and then asking on a forum that DOES reveal secrets

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989.. :mrgreen:

Woah woah woah - I don't know if you meant that to sound like it does, but when you give no introduction stating your background in magic, or read the forum rules and just ask for secrets, which are all indicative of mere secret-seekers then how am I supposed to know?! Also note:

You don't seem like a magician merely a curiosity-seeker, and if that's true then just enjoy the magic!

...the words SEEM and IF.

Off the top of my head if you wanted to learn something very similar to this check out something like Mind Magic by Mark LeMezma - I THINK there is something very similar to what you describe in there.

Now why not post a proper introduction in the introduction section.

That's if you return...most people that ask for secrets post once and don't come back.

Well enjoy your stay, and read the rules ^^.

It sounds like a game that we play alot. There are many versions of it, and we use them for fun and educational purpose.

What's this called and where can I find it? This seems like a very nice mentalism effect.

I can think of a few ways to do it but one is certainly in Corinda.

Yo!, you are stupid as you are rude. When you are trying to get a lady, do you start off by asking "hey, want to jump into the sack?" NO! You warm up to her, show her that you are worth the time and that you are generally interested in her, and her friends. It also helps to give nice things to her and say nice things

TM is the same way! I may be a newbie to the forum myself, but I like to think I know whats going on here.

Introduce yourself, be a gentleman, contribute to our community, say the right things, maybe review a trick, and you will be generally accepted with good behavior.

Corinda is the author of 13 Steps to Mentalism? Not a trick? Because my book sure says it was written by Corinda. If the trick is in 13 Steps to Mentalism, what is it called. Thanks :).
