ace card effects

Postby Mikey.666 » Nov 12th, '06, 14:37

hey hey.
i've been really interested in ace effects recently; like, presenting the aces, and doing a number of routines all link with the aces.
however, i've come to a brain freeze. i want to find a jazzy way in presenting the aces, i know a number of false cuts and shuffles, but i can't think of any. any ideas, clips or routines to give me inspiration would be much appreciated. thanks :)

If you have Expert Card Tecnique, take a look at the Birds of a Feather chapter. I am pretty sure the whole chapter is based on ace effects. Personally, I don't use many of the effects from that chapter a lot, but they are still useful to know and the patter/presentation ideas from that chapter alone are worth the cover price.

By the way, shouldn't this be in the Support and Tips section?

Yes, could a mod move this please?

Dennis Behr's Blossom Production is flashy and easy. Oz Perlman teaches it on his Watch Magic DVD, maybe Stevebo or Tom could shed a bit more light on this sort of thing?

This is the second post today I've had to move out of the area for discussion about specific magicians - we even renamed it to make it clearer so there's no excuse.

Mods aren't here to just tidy up so perhaps it would get the point across if we just deleted any post made in the wrong area in future.

Seems a wee bit harsh......but then again I am not the one doing the tidying up right? It is definitely a fair statement though....we may all (assuming many of us have been guilty of some misfraction in one way or another) get the point sooner though if you used this black and white type of idea........you have my vote!

Thanks for that, a few weeks ago we made the point that there were hundreds of inappropriate posts in that section and the Mods spent a lot of time moving them out so it's particularly annoying to see more posts started again in the wrong place. It's not hard to check which section is being used and to make sure that the area is the right one but if anyone's in doubt use Miscellaneous  .
