This is a very interesting find. Apparently back in June there was going to be a new magic series on ABC titled Totally Hidden Extreme Magic or THEM. It was a hidden camera show where nine very talented magicians went around fooling unsuspecting people with magic displays. Unfortunately only two episodes ever aired.

Every show apparently has six senarios where one or more of the nine magicians would set out amaze people. Every scene ended with the usual staement of "I'm one of THEM." Below is a link to YouTube where they have almost every senario. Their very interesting.

These aren't just your run-of-the-mill street magicians. They are very skilled in their own areas. CYRIL TAKAYAMA is one of THEM. That's unbelieveable. The only trick he did one the show however was his Grandpa Head trick.

Lisa Vega is also on the team. Although she is the only female magician on the team (and perhaps the whole country) she is a force to be reconded with. She has performed in over 30 countries and lives as a professional.

Criss is a bit wierd. He does freaky illusions such as having a nest of flies emerge from his mouth or have a spasm as if a spirit took over his body while in an elevator.

I somehow don't think that Lisa is the ONLY female magician in the USA - do you?

The series ran in the UK on cable and there were some interesting presentations of well known effects. Most of the shows were rather entertaining in my opinion.

I loved the one where he walked through a glass window to bypass the bouncer and get into a club. Wish I could do that. The glass had to be gimmicked

OK, Halloween is approaching fast and the real question buzzing around on everyone's lips is... where can I get that "flies out of mouth" effect...?!

I'm afraid this isn’t a new or recent program - there was a reference to it in February 2004 ( http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/sutra16684.p ... ght=#16684 ) and certainly not something I'd care to watch again.

The Quick Change was excellent fun for a candid camera type show, but for a magic show, she should have done it faster once or twice. You know, a whole, curtain closes, curtain opens, different clothes in about half a second.

I especially liked the one where the man is telekinetic in a coffee shop, though I really wished that he would have made the other people's objects float as well, though I guess technical limitations prohibited that.

Still, it seems kind of mean to tell strangers that YES, YOU CAN DO THIS TOO! and then to just watch them fail, and contrary to the spirit of magic, as well, which, in my opinion, is that the world is full of secrets if you just know where to look.
