Well I was talking to one of my customers today (I'm a window cleaner
) when she told me her name was Rita. "Ooh Rita, that's my mum's name", I said.
As soon as I said it, I immediately thought of an advert on TV quite a while ago, where I think a guy is in a bar trying to chat women up. He asks one their name and when they reply with Susan, for example, he sighs and says something like, "Susan, that was my mother's name." Then, when she fobs him off, he moves on to the next victim using exactly the same approach.
Anyone remember this ad??
I kinda think it might be advertising a drink but I'm not too sure
