Another coin teleportation

Postby Jocce » Nov 14th, '06, 12:39

I really liked Henks presentation of a coin teleportation in another thread. Here's my version of the routine using David Roths handling from Expert coin magic made easy. I'm very much a beginner (a few months) and would appreciate some comments.

And yes, I will eventually try to fit both my face, hands and coins in the screen at the same time

Great! A beautiful coin routine. There are many different Coins Across effects and this one from Modern Coin Magic is probably my favorite. You performed and presented it very well. Have you ever performed this in front of a live audience? A lot of the time, I start off a routine with a Touch of Midas (from Bobo's), next I do this, followed by whatever version of coin matrix I feel like doing at the time. Then I vanish all four coins and end my routine. How do you incorperate this into a routine?

Thanx for the encouraging words. I like this version of Winged Silver also. It's using the same principle as the versions in Bobo but the actual mechanics are taken from David Roth's Expert coin magic made easy. I find his handling to be very clean and casual but it has to be done seated so it's not really something for strolling around.

Ammars version that Henk is using is beautiful also but I'm not skilled enough yet to pull it off. Some of the moves just look "fishy" when I do it but I do some work on that from time to time also since it's a perfect impromptu thing to have in a repertoir

I haven't performed this "live" yet since, as I said, I'm very much a beginner. That's why i filmed it, so I could look at it from a spectators view and see how it works. About incorporating this in a routine...well..as soon as I have some other decent things rehearsed I'll do that... :?

Your right. This one isn't from Bobo's, but pretty well the whole effect can be found in the book. Let me know if you want any ideas on how this can be fitted into a routine. I'll be more than happy to help.

I liked it alot Jocce!
and you actually tricked me with most of the routine :P good stuff..
I like your way of doing it.. since you can really show the coins in your hand before vanishing it across..
