Hey

I don t understand the way some of you think. I have actually 2 examples for this.

1. Why do you buy all the "one single trick" ellusionist stuff. The price of one singe trick is usually extremely expensive.

I think books like Bobo and Modern Card magic or Giobbis books have a much better value.

2. Kaos. Seriously why do you spend 24.95 dollars for a CTW effect.

Create it yourself. Just use (removed by Mods as it was a bit too explicit for public view) Also, the method will be much better for you because you have just picked what you like to do.

There is a benefit to buying single effects as they help to break up a routine by using different objects. And also sometimes the single effect is a great tool such as MAGUS CAPSULE which with thought can have the workings taken and applied to other effects.

I bought a floating illuminated ball in my early days but by it's very nature I quickly caught onto the idea of how the effect can be applied to many other effects and it taught me a way of handling IT.

re CTW (aka Kaos) mods will need to check if you have exposed something there ;)

Peacock...

Some people don't WANT to be bothered to sit and learn sleights, routines and the likes from books or DVDs containing lots of material... they just want the quick, easy BAM! approach of a one-trick-pony.

Like Jordan says, a lot of these effects actually teach you a lot (someone actually bought NFW! off me a while back and wanted to tell me how much it had taught them!)

Also, single effects these days are MARKETING driven. It's like the sugar and salt in MacDonald's food... you KNOW it's wrong, and naughty, but you keep going back for more. Ellusionist, for example, are masters of the art.

So you see, it's easy to understand. Simple Human Nature.

NOT! ;)
