Well...
He covers several genre, so I guess you just choose your discipline and do a 'search'.

That way, you can make up your own mind by reading the numerous reviews on this forum.

I really like him, I have found that his DVD's are easy to follow, he is an excellent teacher, and explains things way....

No card tricks is good, 22 Blows to the head is a good mentalism vid, and I found Sankeytized 1 to be a good introduction to his work.

I love the guys material too. Most of them are very visual and very achievable to your average "struggling to be"magician...like me.
I am sometime wary of his use of the word "examinable" as on the odd occasion I have personally felt it was a little misleading.
The only time I've been disappointed with a Sankey product is with the Gemini pouch which after several attempts of use and several attempts of being caught out went straight into, what I call, the magic mucky drawer.

I certainly recommend:

Front Row Sankey
Leaving Home
Revolutionary coin / card magic

Oh yeh I have revolutionary coin magic too.. quality dvd. I had front row but never got round to watchin it for ages then when i did the first ten minutes it crashed - i think the dvd was crashed so he was halfway explaining that 'pychic vs clairevoyant' trick that I didnt get to see how to end it  that and the rest of the dvd. that preceeding trick is quality with the 'Do not choose' card, where the spec comes good at the end. I use that occasionally.

I think my interest in commercial magic is thanks laregly due to Jay

I use his "Just Imagine" in virrtually all of my performances. Its lengthy and has a great kicker at the end.

Yes, but me buying this tomorrow is not going to be a free choice! CUPS!

Although I do not like Sankey's approach (comedy is good, but in my opinion not the his extent) I agree with everything that has been said about him. He has a brilliant mind and therefore I will not criticize him too much. ...Probably should not have posted anything except for the CUPS comment but, too late, I don't feel like deleting :D.

In Sankey's CDs I'll find more 'impromptu' tricks or he uses more gimmicks?

CUPS starting to attack again...

jay Sankey is one of the most prolific guys around today.... I own several of his effects which ALWAYS pack one helluva punch!!

In A Flash

Paperclipped (DVD)

and the one with the ballooons (sorry just got up can't think of its name)..

If you want something of Jays I'd say think about what you want to do.... as has been said, he covers many a genre, so choose a dvd with stuff you really like!!

Penguin have a Jay Sankey store with video demos of his stuff so take a look!!

Airtight! :D.

I agree that those are some of his best effects, and I think Paperclipped and Airtight be found in his two Sankey-Tized volumes.

I own a lot of Sankey DVDs and can strongly recommend him. If this is your first time with a Sankey DVD I would suggest one of the multiple effect ones. eg

Front Row
Secret Files
Greatest Hits
Anytime Anywhere

I just feel that you get more bang for your buck!

Hope this helps.
