Hi,
At the moment I've firgured out how 'Ricochet' works and i think this is a really nice trick to perform. The only obsticle is the 'Asher Twist' that i can't master. I can figure out how the whole effect works but am struggling performing this twist sleight. Being totally honest i really don't want to spend money on buying the 'cooking with asher' video as i can understand this trick except for one part. How can i figure out this sleight? Thanx

As one who had great difficulty with Chubby Checker's Twist many moons ago, I sincerely hope Lee's move is less energetic!

More seriously, assuming we knew how to do the Asher Twist (which I don't) nobody here would dream of giving away such information. Lee Asher covers all this very neatly as it's his effect and he's the only one who can legitimately provide the details - for a fee. As this effect costs a mere $15 plus P&P I'd say that would be a fairly low-cost investment. However, if you look at Lee's website, you'll see the encouraging words

'Ricochet' is a variation of Paul Harris' very popular trick 'Reset.' Paul Wilson offers two different handlings. One handling requires the Asher Twist. The second handling is sleight free. Curiously, both handlings play equally well for a lay audience. This means that regardless of your skill level you can perform this very strong piece of magic. In addition, the clean up is very simple and very deceptive. The spectators have eight genuine cards.......

so there's a version which doesn't need the Twist as well.

Why not add it to your Christmas wish list?

Of course, all the above assumes you haven't bought the trick but if you have bought it and still have problems (and we all know that feeling, don't we children!) why not e-mail Lee and make a strong but polite request for additional information? You never know, he might just help! Best of luck!

So, Dan are you saying that you know the Asher Twist but you can't get to grips with it or that you don't know that Asher Twist and need to find out more about it.
