You're not going to get very far here if reading bores you. Use the search facility at the top of the screen. The reviews section is full of things you'll unfortunately have to read in order to find the answer to your question.

I'd recommend Mark Wilsons Complete Course as a great start for anyone and goes into all sorts of different fields of magic. I've found that it's not always the best idea to just stick to cards but better to branch out into other fields too.

I'm a beginner too.
Mark Wilsons Complete Course in Magic is great.
I also bought a 5 DVD set of RRTCM (Royal Road to Card Magic) which is fantastic (if it is to pricey for you , you can buy the book).
I highly recommend both !

If you are looking for a book, buy Royal Road to Card Magic.
If you are looking for a DVD, buy Born to Perform by Oz Pearlman
