Tenkai -.-

Postby Dreamw0rks » Nov 25th, '06, 17:40

I can preform the tenkai effectively enough, but i have a problem with one of the effects i want to do with it. I d-l the top cards and try to get the top one into a tenkai so i can make it seem as though it changes, but i can't get the grip right on the card without making it obvious it is two. Any tips? I hold the card in between my index and middle finger to get it into the grip, is there a more effective way to do this?

Thanks :P

Don't do it!!!! Just don't!!!

This color change doesn't work. People will know how it is done and then they will know tenkai palm.

I use tenkai palm quite a lot and I know from my experience that dropping just a card from tenkai on the rest of the deck is exposure!!!!

So don't ever think about doing this!!!!!!

If you really think about doing a color change with tenkai palm then do the bertam change or if you are very skilled do snap change.

How can you go from tenkai to a snap change? And also, what is a good thing to DO with the tenkai then, surely it has uses besides making a car dissappear a little more convincingly (imo) than a backpalm...

In his situation he has the card is the top card . So with a DL you can do the snap change.

If you can tenkai a car or backpalm a car call the Guiness Book of World Records .

I havr to agree here, this color change is just not worth it and you're better off doing a different one that is more effective.

There are many different uses for the tenkai if you just use your imagination. Also, since you can do it with basically any object, I find myself using it randomly throughout a performance to make it seem that my hands are empty.

Best of luck,
~David

Agree with the others.....as far as a colour change goes, I don't think it is worth the time/effort. I use it often in performance as a utility type of move for cards, coins, coin bending, etc......it also can subsitite niceley for a palm (with a card) in some cases.

okay, thanks. I'll stick to shapeshifter for the color change ^.^ Still like the tenkai for freaking out my friends at random times during the day. And that wasn't a typo, I'm a giant and tenkai mercedes all the time. I caused the grand canyon by accidentally letting go a passing meteorite.

Thanks for the advice,

Dream

I just wanted to make an effective color change (or any other kind of change) with a tenkai but people have warned me off of that.

Tenkai eh?

The tenkai palm is one of my favorites, if you can master the angels of it you can almost fool anyone because it is so natural. Anyways... The colour change: To make an affective colour change with the tenkai palm is just like this.

A) You palm the card using the tenkai, begin to talk to the audience a few jokes here and there to disarm their mind of you holding that card.

B) Hold the tenkai in your right hand then the deck with the bottom of the deck face up, so you can see the card. Example the 3C is face up.

C) Slowly bring the deck of cards towards the tenkai, to put it directly under.

D) Once the palmed card is on top of the deck you release your hand with a small motion, then cover the deck, then slowly end your trick by doing what ever you want from there.

I hope this is what your asking. And this is one of the beginer ways but there are several other ways too. I hope you understand these extremely confusing steps too :D
