No problems with the effect itself, that's all down. I'm looking to rejig my patter however to make it more credible - anyone know of anywhere I can find out background information on the kind of chart that appears in this effect? I've looked about but to no avail.

I have this as well. There are a number of books on cards for divination. The suits have a correspondence to Tarot suits and there are similar divination techniques.

The biggest problem you will find is that there is no consistent correspondence across texts, and the chart used in the effect may not correspond to the books, so you will have to adjust your presentation accordingly.
