Hello! My name is Cheri and I am a figure skating coach. My students are children mostly and I am doing a new competition routine with one of my skaters who is 9 years old and the theme/music is about magic.

Basically, she will do a 1 minute 30 minute skating routine, (jumps, spins, footwork) to a piece of music with a theme and a costume and use props. She is judged on the creativity, and choreography of these things which is my job. Since the magic theme is my idea and I have to not only choreograph this routine on the ice, edit the music (which is done) and need to teach her a few magic tricks to go along with it. The competition she is competing in is in February.

I have been doing some research online which is what brought me to this place.

I hope to read and learn here! Nice to meet all of you!

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Hello Cheri and welcome to TM.

It's a good idea with the magic theme on ice.
How about a quick change in her routine? That could work out cool.
Also if she would produce a big sponge animal out of nowhere or dancing with a bright coloured floating cane. A nine year old could do all those without problems.
Good luck!

Best greetings from Iceland!
