Yeah - you've bought it, so post a review for us!

You'll find a review template at the top of the 'Review' part of the forum.

You can get some serious mileage out of all those downloads.

Ok My hands really arnt that big so it was hard for me to do some magictricks but these i had know problem at all. magtrickvideos explained them very well i would suggest them to any beginner. 5fingermagic was not as good as it could be he doesnt talk in his videos and that got me mad. but magtrickvideos helped me with doulbe lifts and stuff like that very very helpful.

Hand size is not an issue in magic - this is a myth.

If you are motivated enough, even with the tiniest hands, you will succeed in most sleights.

Small hands should not be a problem. My hands are small but as long as you have the coordination and practise you will be fine. Also try changing card/coin techniques slightly to suit you better, I had to when learning the one handed shuffle.

So what do you think about these downloads?

"Most" is the critical word here - I have small hands (doesn't help that I'm 14 :D) and I have problems with things like the Classic pass...I can't get my pinky into the deck far enough . Generally, though, it doesn't make it harder...I just use a bridge deck.

EDIT much later: I can in fact do the Classic pass, so I was wrong...

Hand size is not a myth at all. Well I think it's down to hand fatness. The classic palm is nearly impossible for me to perform unless my hand is all screwed up or practically closed, looking very odd. So I stay away from this one. Which is a shame as I thought up loads of things I could use it with. That fact is that fat hands have deeper creases so the hand doesnt have to move as much to grip whatever it is you're trying to plam.

Hi,

I am the guy in the videos at magictrickvideos.com, and just found this post. Thanks --- glad you liked the videos! Since your original post, I've redesigned the site and added some more "pro quality" trick videos too, just FYI.

ALSO - as for the HAND SIZE discussion, I has the pleasure of having dinner with Eugene Burger a few weeks ago, and he was telling me about a magician (forget his name) that suggested to him that on the very first page of every magic book, there should be an outline of the magician's hand, so when you read the instructions, you can adjust the trick based on how your hand fits into this "mold". Hah!

Ok I was jsut looking at some previous post of mine and I want to comment on this one...

...I was wrong wrong wrong about hand size. It's all about practice

My goodness I've learnt so much over the past year.

It is kind of embarrassing to go back to these old posts

I downloaded some tricks from www.magictrickvideos.com .
In the beginning I had some problems (didn't receive the download link) but it was due to spam filtering propably so when I send an email from another email account to Scott he sorted it out in no time (we exchange some mails and he is very friendly and ready to help with any questions).

I got the $9.95 Special. You get 22 videos with trick explanations :

1. Appearing Cards
2. Vanishing Cards
3. The One Dollar to Hundred Dollar Bill Switch
4. The One-Handed Shuffle
5. The Hurricane Trick
6. The Snap Change
7. Fusion
8. The Fingernail Force
9. The Name Force
10. French Drop
11. Quick Coin Vanish
12. Vanishing Dollar
13. Twin Prediction
14. Three Card Monte
15. Newspaper Prediction
16. Scarf Through Neck
17. Hindu Shuffle Top Control
18. Jokers Find the Card
19. Color Changing Aces
20. Change Machine
21. Card Change
22. FREE Bonus Trick*

The majority of the videos are in .rm format (you can view them in the freeware player of Real Audio , or you can install the codecs for you media player I use this : http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia ... tive.shtml ).

The quality of the videos is so an so (because they are .rm) but you can understand everything and they are very, very fast to download.
There is a big variety of tricks, some more experienced magician already know them but for a beginner like me and for that price where a good investment.

For $9.95 = 5.10 GBP = €7.5 it is a great value for money !

I'm sorry, but I have to say it...Magic_Mockingbird's signature reads:

If its to loud your to old

The grammar pedant in me has to point out the four errors. It should read:

If it's too loud you're too old

The could be a comma in there as well...

Take care, Ian
