Hmm Saw this on practical magic.
"Vanishing Deck. A pack of cards in a smart open holder is removed. One card is remembered. You suggest vanishing that one card. Instead, when you turn the holder over, you show that you have made the whole pack vanish! £15.00"
Now is this a complete rip off or have they got a better qualty version of vanishing deck?

To be fair, I can't speak for this dealer, I've only mentioned them here because it's the only place I can find in the UK that supplies the trick I wanted to review. As I said I didn't buy Out of Order from them but as long as they sell it, that's what's important.

I for one wasn't aware of this dealer and I'm pleased to have found them as like you say there are tricks that I haven't seen elsewhere. On the other hand the price is not always what you could call competitive.
The above trick I mentioned could be a great find if it's a better quality version of the normal cardboard box. If not it is a complete rip off at over 3 x the price of other dealers.
Unfortunately there is no pic to give us a clue.

Not on the page I'm looking at. I've copied the description in my post above, so it's definitely the same thing. Would like to see a pic though, where is it?

Can I clear this up. You are talking about a completely different effect - Vanishing Deck. There is no picture.
This is a review for Out of Order which is a bargain at £11.50 and there's a little picture although four cards rivetted together is really all you need to see. Toad, if you want to talk about a different trick or this dealer, maybe start a new thread?

as shark mentions its better to start a new thread if your going to be talking about something completely different

I am very keen on buying from Practical magic and like Steve Gore i know them.
Their props are very well made but i do think that there postage prices are a bit steep. As for the vanishimg deck then personally i wouldnt reccomend buying it as it can be made very inexpensibly. The trick is a good a very good effect though

Mog good idea removing a part of a thread that is straying off topic, though I don't think that leaving this thread in "review" is the right place for it. Perhaps you could remove the straying parts from all the other threads, here is one example of many
http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1941&start=15 certainly keeps it all clean and tidy.
