cards stuff im currently practicing...

Here's a video I made because I am really bored, and I've made some improvements on the charlier, flipback (and throw and catch), D/L, and the erdnase, so I thought I would make a nice little video with them all in.

I was just pleased with the ease and relaxedness of my hands, but if you have any comments please correct me on anything I've done wrong. (I know you shouldnt normally mix flourishes and sleights too much, but this vid is mainly to show what I'm currently practicing)

btw - I put some music on which I dont normally do, and I didn't realize it would come on ''loud'', so be wary of that, not very good music either but it was an idea.

OH man...i envy u alot because there is something in my mind that will not allow me to do a false charlier. The deck on the back of the hand is cool...i usually drop all the cards when i try that :( But good job none the less. However, for the erdnase change, i dont think u reall need to do the Dl to show that the red ace is not there...the effect is good enough, and u doing that is a little fishy... unless u pick up that DL really gracefully. Good work though.

Oh I wish I could do any one handed manipulation but my hands just aren't big enough. I just about managed a one handed cut and that's it.

Very very impressive by the way

Well.... all manipulation can be achieved through practice. My hands are VERY tiny, and I can manage card manipulation quite well. Go and look at the size of Lee Asher's hands and compare yours with his. Then look at the card manipulations he can do. It's determination and practice which determines how well you can do these moves. Unless you're still very young, it shouldn't be a problem if you put practice into it.

@ Supermagictom. Nice performance. You've got the moves down very well now. Now all you need is more practice on speed. Your smooth in doing the Charlier Cut and the flipback needs to be a bit smoother. Try and make it so that you can't see the regripping of the flipback and it will look very nice.

you're right with most manipulations, stevebo. But some really are impossible for me, I'd love to do a triple cut one handed for example but my fingers just can't reach over the cards to perform it.

Well... I just hope you manage if you really want to do it, and... BEST OF LUCK! :D

Wow, are Lee Asher's hands REALLY that small? They're like baby hands!

Yea, hard to believe his hands are that small.

@ The people who say their hands are too small, I'm only 15 and my hands are a bit bigger than that of Lee's, but I can do a Charlier with a double deck (108 cards in my case) :o , Hand size is just the general excuse.

@ supermagictom, nice stuff. Like steve said, practice will make the moves smoother over time.
As for the flipback, try to keep the whole hand flat not just the fingers, once you can do that with one smooth motion, it becomes a very beautiful move, practice it and you'll get it in no time mate.
