I was performing street magic for a carnival last night......it was four hours of work, but the tempreture was 10 degrees below zero (celcius)...I managed to dress and stay quite warm, the problem hit me in an area I had not even considered.

I found I was unable to do it because the low tempreture would not allow me to "Anchor" as the MW would get cold and pull off instantly! Has anyone dealt with this before? Are there options, or do I simply have to remove the IT from my "ASSASIN'S POUCH" (cough - cough....note sarcasm toward Sankey's device) during the cool performances?

if you're using a reel, then i found a nice hook up (that suits me anyways) is to anchor your MW to a ring on your middle finger...that way you're body heat should keep it all working peachy...and you can still move your hands as normal...

then again, i've not worked in sub-artic like conditions!

I need some help........firstly, is some IT easier to spot than others? I have a batch of IT that I am using right now, and get caught EVERY time I use it. Specs area always telling me they can see it.........

Now I know what you are all thinking.......lighting! Well, let me tell you this......I have tried every conceivable lighting situation you could imagine........starting with dull/dim lighting to (out of frustration) bright lights......The last performance was in a dimly - and I emphasize bordering on dark - hotel suite......and still got caught.

I have played with the presentation for hours on end.....so fairly sure that it is not in poor handling......my family is stunned at the effects, but in performance situations I have been getting called out!

Is it possible that some threads give off more glare than others? Can you think of anything else to consider......besides lighting, clothing, and background settings?

apparently so (from what i've read)...alot of people seem to go for black IT (whether they colour it themselves - i think it depends)...

im not helping much really am i...

seige is probably the font of knowledge for this one...he even sells a loop-maker on his site...

i've not been caught using mine, usually in darkish pubs, using a mini IT wizard...i think flourescent lighting is more problematic than most though..
