I saw Sankeys bit of kit on www.magicshop.co.uk and i ve got a few bits of walk around work to do. And i was wondering if it is worth the £15 asking price? I like the idea but could some one review for it me please?

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

This one was comprehensively pulled apart here a couple of weeks ago. The over all consensus is that it's not the best.

Your trouser and/or jacket pockets.

I think it is reasonable priced for the object you are getting. I think it just comes down to personal choice, I for one think it looks a tad nerdy and ridiculous when my pockets have served me rather well.

But if you dont want to use your pockets and can withstand the pointing and staring then I say go for it.

I carry a soft-sided laptop case if I am performing in dress attire....if doing a street routine and in more street-style clothing, I find a backpack suits the style of dress....just a thoughts from my perspective.

These are both assuming that I am doing long hours and requre extra supplies, etc, that can't be concealed in pant or jacket pockets!

Markdini - I don't think anyone on TM has it yet - if so, they've not admitted to it

Here is the jibe thread regarding this item - you wouldn't have found it as it is rather derogatively named "Sankey's Sack"!

I'm sure the bag will be of reasonable quality, and probably is relatively well-designed. The question is whether you need to spend £15 on something a jacket or pair of trousers does very well anyway. Also, it does look nerdy. And the final test would be "has Sankey *ever* actually used this?" - all these points suggest something that has been released as a money spinner and not much more.

Having said that, Sankey goes with the American look of tailored shorts and trainers occasionally, so hey, maybe he thinks it's cool.

Having a pouch on my person is something that goes back to my days of busking on the streets of New York. To this day I still carry quite a few.

While I have seen the Sankey item I don't own it but I'm not sure why I would have to spend the $25 for a leather pouch of this type?

I find most of my pouches in dollar stores and leather shops for less than $10 so I just can't see why one would pay such a high price for this item?

I did however like the idea of putting some rare earth magnets in the bottom of the pouch to create a holdout, and I will be doing that with some of the pouches I now have.

My favorite pouch is one that I got at about a buck which is meant to hold cigarettes. It holds a pack of card perfectly and even has some room for flash paper. On the side is a removable pocket that if you were to cut a slit in would and dose work for holding a sharpie.

While on the subject of sharpies head on over to House of fire and check out Ricks new sharpie that can light flash paper it's awesome and all his stuff comes with a lifetime warrantee.

Hope that helps.

I don't see the need for anything fancy such as this when your pockets have served you loyally since forever. Surely if a spectator see's you approaching them while wearing this then they will be a tad suspicious of you before you even open your mouth :? Alot of better things come to mind to spend £15 on, not one of Sankeys greatest releases...by quite a distance :(

I bought this last week ago and so far I'm actually quite happy with it. I think it would be most useful for those of us who don't really go around wearing jackets all the time. :)

Plus, as an archaeologist, it's a great way to bring some stuff and protect them when I'm in the field!

I'll post a full review when I have used it for longer.
