I think a silver coin would be dead easy to gaff, a dremmel should be able to make a hole suitable for a small 1mm or so magnet. A spectator wouldn't notice.

The only problem is that where do you put it? The faces of the coins are quite well covered and the sides are paterned, surely it wouldn't be too hard to see?

On hte underside of the coin.. a thin neo would be concealed underneath and you only show one side of the coin.

Clever handlin would make it appear that you show two sides

I don't think anyone would notice. Personally I'd put it to one of the faces, how often do you make a point of showing both faces of a coin? I've had a coin the wrong way up in an expanded shell plenty of times and no ones ever spotted that the coin was double tailed.

As I mentioned near the start of this thread, I do this all the time. In fact, with a 10p, you can even flip it in your hand, and I've not been caught.

Wafer thin magnets (in stock at my shop) and a bit of glue or even doube stick tape, and you're sorted.

I also quite often have a small magnet behind the coin, with silver or £2 coins it's very easy to get away with. You can get away with quite a bad flash and people don't tend to notice

At the end of the day people dont suspect magnets, and even in the very unlikely scenario that they did, they certainly wouldnt expect it to be ON the coin.. they are more likely to want to see your hands so you can show 'both' sides of the coin and both hands empty at the same time.

Plus you can use your thumb to cover the magnet while you're showing both sides of the coin
