How to make gimmicked cards book

Postby Presto » Dec 12th, '06, 13:17

I've got some gimmicked decks that I'm using, but they're all Bycicle type, as are the regular magic stuff you more easily encounter in my country.

Unfortunately, Bycicle isn't a type of cards that is usually used by other people to play. So I'd like to make my own gimmicked cards, using the common card type.

Is there any book that teaches a good way to do it? I'd rather prefer to not go into a try and error way, if there's choice.

Maybe something on card splitting will help you?

All my cards are poker sized bikes too, which are also very uncommonly seen here in the UK. I've never found it a problem, people don't tend to really take that much notice. As long as you always use the same type of card, no ones going to suspect anything.

I think with the amount of on-line poker
and poker shows on satalite in the UK, poker decks are going
to become very standard in the UK even my local sainsburys has
a poker set in the Christmas gifts

but to make your own cards I'd go with oeb's suggestion of

Martini's Dvd is worth the investment if you liked gimmicked cards saves you money in the long run too.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Thanks for the DVD tip. I'll see if it's avaiable in some local shop for buying. I avoid buying anything rather than books in international stores, because of import taxes.

And, to me, happens exactly the opposite of what Lady of Mistery said. When I'm using a regular bycicle deck, the most of the people don't believe they are normal card, but think it's gimmicked in some way they can't figure out (marked, for instance).
