Craig Browning has advised herethat this is a copyrighted effect which David Copperfield bought and he alone has the sole rghts. On that basis it's unlilely that it can be bought unless you have squillions of dollars to spare  !

lets say 21 thats a good figure. SO for everyone out there 1 squillion looks (according to mandrake and myself) like this.

1'000'000'000'000'000'000'000 if any one wants to try this out please make cheques payable to either mandrake or myself

:D

Cheques  ?

Cash preferred, used bills, non sequential serial numbers, large brown paper bag - that sort of thing.

I followed this thread, went off to the other and watched the performance on YouTube.

It only served to remind me of how much I dislike David Copperfield. I'm not an aggressive person, but Mr Copperfield has a face that I instinctively want to punch. I can't explain it - he just makes my skin crawl. Whatever genius goes into his illusions is lost on me because of the uncontrollable tourettes that seems to come over me the moment he appears on screen.

I'll get my coat.

How many paper bags would be needed to fit that much cash in? You've obviously not thought about it Mandrake.

Instant wired transfer into a swiss bank account. I've seen spy films I know how this all works

I'm an old fashioned sort - I like brown paper bags because I can use them afterwards to put my sandwiches in for lunch. You can't do that with a Swiss bank account, the egg mayonnaise drops all over the place :D !

More to the point, do you know how much the money would weigh? You'd spend a year just moving that much cash.

When I was small child with rosy cheeks and sparkling eyes I used to hate the man to the point of dry retching, but now I rather like him. I'm not sure if this is because I've grown up and matured, or grown old and decrepit.

That aside, a 'light' Legs Off (one effect and far, far less impressive - but a nice shock though, I reckon) that you could perform might be Mayne's 'Bisection'. http://www.weirdthings.com/plans.htm
Cyril did it in one of his shows.

Well, if you've seen it, you'll know whether it's good or bad, for your purposes. It's not baffling - it more of a funny prank. People will easily figure out what's been done, it's just that initially they'll go, 'Eek!', and then laugh, which is the point. It's a surprise - an amusing prank - not a top flight illusion. It scared the wits out of the woman Cyril did it to.
