Review
I should start by saying I am a huge Derren fan, his card work, his stunts and his inside your mind stuff and so I got a copy of this highly entertaining DVD.
If you are looking for a how to be Derren video you wont find it here, this is nothing more than a collection of bits from his acclaimed TV series and an interview with the man himself.
It is due to the lack of teaching that I decided to review it here as some may have the wrong idea of the contents.
Having said that this is still a very interesting watch, just trying to work it out is enough fun for me and if like me you didn't catch all the series this is perfect.
I won't list all the scenes as there isn't much point, you will either enjoy it or you wont but I will say that all the strong stuff is in there. I wont spoil it for you if you are new to the series.
I knew I would enjoy from the start when he gets people to forget which station they are getting off at on the underground as I hadn't seen this before but even the stuff I had seen was fresh and a joy to watch.

Overall
All in all a great way to entertain yourself and you will find yourself watching it more than once, though this is not an instructional video in any way shape or form.
If you are a fan go get it, if not don't, can't say fairer than that really.

I have to include a partial transcript of his opening introduction to the DVD, lol, just because it made me laugh so much :
"...if you have seen the film 'signs' and would like to wear the tin foil hats, now would be a good time to put them on, you can't be too carefull...the money and sex are exausting and I have you the viewer to thank, thanks!..."

Good man, good DVD.

does the dvd contain footage of derren messing a trick up??? its always reassuring to see someone else make a mistake!!!! It also shows that they are not to up themselves if they include it on dvds etc. Im pretty sure david blaine did this on his frozen in time dvd and i have seen other magi's do it in the past.

Yes, only once though I think. It's while he's making people forget which stop they're getting off at but it doesn't work on one guy. That's about it.
Great DVD though.
