First get yourself something between 200$ and 1000$ (can be even more, depends on the gimmick)
Then get ready for a gimmick that looks no where near as good or realistic as the ones you see on TV (DB, Cyril, CA..).

In the meantime I would suggest that you leave that dream alone (even if you have the cash believe me it doesn't worth it) and buy the plastic version that is done with a pencil for 5$-10$ and learn the principle the effect can be done with.
Then if you are still so keen for one (not likely), better go and make one yourself, or have a professional make one for you, it's not that complex and believe me it will save you a nice amount of cash and tears when you realize it really has no real use in an act.

Sorry for being a party pooper. :?

The c*** (not the best) you see on Tv is staged and highly controlled... versions of the old ALICE THRU A LOOKING GLASS illusion and thus, impossible to do under the circumstances creative editing and camera angles will allow one to get away with... this is one of the biggest reasons why I have little to no respect for Angel or Blaine.

I'm certainly with you on Angel. Any fool can perform magic using stooges and video editing. Why bother?

And yet, more and more folks want to defend it.

It started with Copperfield about 25 or so years ago and has become a major issue in shows like T.H.E.M. and of course the Blaine & Angel specials. Even a handful of other 'more noted' individuals have stooged the hell out of their Tv routines in order to get the kind of clean reactions they want vs. the reality of the routine when done live.

Why study Corinda or even the Wilson course if you're just going to cheat your butt off with editing and audience plants?

If you want to perform this on a small scale, and even gain the know-how to build your own large scale version, hunt down an aged magic prop called a 'penetration frame'.

Same principle, on a much smaller and controllable scale.
