this question has been asked on a number of occasions before so the search button would have found you the answer.

House of Magic in Stourbridge is just about the nearest.

Keith Bennett at KBMagic has a small shop but that's about it. Shows? Only when the Derren Brown tour hits town. The British Magical Society is based here and they are involved in a few things but not usually widely promoted - their website may tell more.

The lack of local magic is one of the main reasons I enjoy travelling to Blackpool, Ipswich and other more magically aware places  !

I really would recommend you get down to HOM as well. It's a great place, full of friendly people always willing to help out or just have a chat about magic...plus it's only a thirty minute train ride from the centre of Brum!

Hehe sorry...I meant House of Magic :D If you do want to go drop me a PM, I've still got the directions from my first trip down there. It's a little bit of a walk to find the shop :)

Slightly off topic i know but has Stourbridge still got the train out side the station and all that impressive glass in the Macdonalds?

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Keith Bennett's web address is http://www.kbmagic.co.uk/ which gives the location and directions on how to get there. It's a very narrow shop which seems to house mainly cards and books but Keith is a most helpful chap who handles a lot of different types of magic. He's usually in attendance at various magic shows and is also a member of the British Magical Society as well as one or two others.

There is of course a regional directory of magic shops that can be visited, and societies on the Ipswich Magical Society Website.
