Nicolas From South America, Bolivia

Postby nicot » Dec 21st, '06, 08:15

Hello everyone, my name is Nicolas. I live in a tough country to practice magic. There are absoluteley no magic shops around, and credit cards aren't used much either, atelast not in my family. I have basically no ways to to be exposed to magic. I am simply struggling to become a magician. I have so many questions, and I am so eager to learn, but I think I have found the right place where people will help me. I would greatly appreciated if I could talk to a magician on msn messenger(or yahoo messenger), if anyone is willing to, please pm me.

Welcome. Hope you enjoy your stay here at TM :D Unfortuantely you are looking in the wrong place if you are hoping that we will teach you tricks as it clearly states in the rules that these boards are none exposure. This is because of copyright breaches and basic respect for the creators of the tricks. As for the no credit card thing, some shops accept cash postage :)

You can't afford it so you want it for free. Is that it?

Welcome! I very much hope you can get some help from this list. Of course if you cannot buy online life is not going to be easy. Also I think it is important to meet other magicians which sound difficult in Bolivia...

Magic is slight of mind!

Welcome to TM, as said people wont actually teach you how to do a trick but you'll get plenty of help and advice on magic in general here.

No?? I did not in any way say I wanted people to teach me tricks, I said I wanted help and had many questions, I dont expect people to just teach me their secrets, I know I wouldn't and neither would any other good magician.

Well, that's great news! Sorry to have misjudged you.

Have you really got no public library in an entire city?

¡Hola Nicolas y bienvenido á TM!
Or should I say: ¡ Laphi Nico! :)
I hope you will find some information here and assistance.
True, it's not a place for exposure, but you can find a lot of help with certein tricks, moves, sleights etc. if you browse around and read the threads.
I don't understand why some of my fellow members reflect scepticm, I bid you welcome! What kind of magic are you interested in?
Sorry to say, I have never been to Bolivia, though I would like to some day, but I have travelled to Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Guatemala and Mexico in your region and I think each country is very beautiful in it's own way. I've seen pictures and heard music from Bolivia and I am very interested in the country and the people.
¡Buena suerte!

It's ok I undestand how there must be plenty of people who come here trying to get some free tricks, but I honestly just want help and advice. And umm I think I once saw a library only for females(I don't know why) and other than that no, I haven't seen any other libraries. Even if I do find one, I bet it will be pretty small and I doubt there will be any books on magic.

Hola y muchas gracias por la bienvenida. Bolivia is a beautiful place, full of amazing landscpaes and views. You should definitely come and visit us sometime, I'd be glad to show you around. I bet you loved Argentina, hehe I was actually born there and lived there for 6 years before I moved to Bolivia.

Thank you so much!
Yes I like S.-America very much.
I went for 2 days to the Iguacu falls and was amazed by the beauty and power.
I saw so much water during those 2 days, plus I flew in a helicopter over as well, that I had hard time even flusing the toilet the day after :P (Just kidding)
¡Hasta luego!
