Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Not really, you can place the chair near the back curtain and perform the vanish there without the need of any trap door (hope this is not to much of an exposure but there is no other way to put it)

Victoria,

I had a look in Mark Wilson's Complete Course book last night and there are quite a few stage effects in there, most are appearing but I'd have thought could fairly easily be reversed and turned into a vanish. Very easy to setup, might be worth a look.

Thinking a bit deeper about this, it might be worth calling a few theatres around That London that are putting on Aladdin this year. There's a genie vanish in it if memory serves, so the technical directors might be able to clue you in too.
