Oh, I've said this before !! When performing for Joe Public, why do people think they need complicated sleights that they then fumble with ??

Go simple, and concentrate on performance and not dexterity.

Because some tricks with sleights in are just fantastic!

My magic wand is always on display, even when I dont particularly want it to be

A card trick with 15 sleights in a row as i have said some where before is not invented to fool laymen, they are invented to fool magicians. It was said in another thread that the spec really dosent care how that card got to the top of the deck.

Knuckle busting sleight of hand is impressive no doubt , but when the layman has never heard of the sleights your are using let alone seen whats the point? if theres a way to get the card to the top of deck with using one simple move or the way that uses 2 advanced moves what would you go for ?
