...so anyway, there I was, at the pub, at my Christmas 'do' last night, my blazer stocked with cards! after successfully performing a 'healed and sealed', then an 'upsidedown liquid still in bottle effect, complete with matchstick floating up' (i can never remember the name of this trick
) I then proceeded onto card tricks, of course starting with an ID, then moving onto about half an hour of sleights (which i suprisingly pulled off, after 4hours of drinking!) and some other tricks with a normal deck, onto a cigarette through card, and sawing a cigarette in half, and restoring it...
However, when i got to the floating section of my routine, starting with the helicopter card, i was spinning away, and some goobar snatched the card from mid-air, at first i was worried, but from some fluke of luck, the guy pulled the card clean off the wax, without snapping the IT! Funnily, this was the first time I had use wax, as opposed to magic tape! oh! the look on his face when he realised the card 'was not' attatched to anything! after examining the card, he just stared at it! 'is there a problem?' i asked! 'er... no...', he said, gobsmacked! then he handed me the card back, and i proceeded with the illusion, along with the card performing a few backflips on my hand! then did some other light floats, cigarettes, notes etc... the crowd i had gathered in the pub were truly amazed!
I finished my routine with a signed card to ceiling, and finally a card through glass... finishing the night with a band, and a suprisingly large round of applause...
great night all around, plus free beer! ya cant beat it!
