i just learned how ideomotor movement works and have a small "trick" in which a spectator thinks of a object from a large selection and then by me holding their wrist they guide me to it using their thoughts.

any ideas on how to develop this into a more spectacular trick?

any help apreciated.

There are many, you best will be to get the #3 Disc to the Banachek PSI Series DVD collection in which one of the best demonstrations and explanations on Muscle Reading (from the theatrical end of things) is offered. You'll also want to check out Steve's book PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL THOUGHT READING and, just for the sake of perspective, check out the original HELLSTROMISM Manuscript put out by Robert Nelson ages ago.

Understand that you are stepping into one of the deeper and more powerful aspects of Mentalism and what you are doing IS NOT a "trick" it is, by scientific explanation, the closest thing we know to what Telepathy is probably like; you really are divining a person's unspoken thoughts and once mastered, you can readily create your own cult because of how strong this ability can be in the mind of the observer. In fact, many a magic buff has become so frightened by it that they've run back to the safety of their Hippty Hop Bunnies rather than have anything to do with Mentalism ever again, because of this one technique. That might sound strange to many of you youngsters, but in times not so long ago people were far more superstitious and "religiously influenced" about things.
