Nice way to start the year

Postby taneous » Jan 2nd, '07, 15:02

I just got a call from a hotel/casino upcountry that would like to fly me up once a month to perform. I'll fly up on the friday - perform on the friday evening and saturday morning, and then they'll fly me back on the saturday afternoon. Accomodation and meals included - and they'll pay me (of course). I'm obviously quite excited about it so I had to share ;)

Congrats!!

I agree with Mikey, stop by the tables and play a hand or two... but only to see if they have decent cards.

If they do you might be able to secure yourself a supply of free cards (as mentioned in other threads in the last month or so) by making a deal to use their cards when you do tricks elsewhere. Free advirtising for them, free cards for you.

Hope you enjoy the new job.

It's the walk-around restaurant stuff.

I'm keen on putting together a stand-up show - but I understand it's a whole different ball game.
I performed at a private party last night and one of the people there happens to be an agent for some of the top entertainers over here. She was saying that I definitely need to think about it as she would be keen on helping me - but I still feel like I'm at least a year away from having something like that together (but that's what I said last year )
