I dunno if there's something wrong with my account, but for some reason or other I can't post comments/replies to videos.

At first I thought it might be something on my PC so I tried it again on my dad's PC - to no avail

It looks like it lets me make a comment, it lets me type it, then puts up the message "thank you, your comment has been posted." However, when I go back into the vid and check, there's nothing there - it's like my message has never been posted

I've sent a message to Youtube staff, but with it being Xmas, it'll prob be aaaages before I get a reply

Anyone any ideas please


EDIT: hmmm for some reason I can't post replies or comments on my own vids - I can post on other peole's vids but not my own. Straaaaaaange

8 hours and still no replys..

I had this problem a while ago, methinks it's just a glitch in the system. It went away for a while and then came back. Just try posting it again, and if that doesn't work then it looks like you'll have to wait for the reply.

EDIT: try logging off the account, leaving it for a few mins, the checking the video to see if your comment is there.

I thought also it was a problem,,, but I didnt give any thought into it. But the comment's I leaved was on the comments list at least day after.

Yea but it's usually a matter of minutes, not weeks

1 thing u can do also, if your post is not visible, click "View all comments", you probably then will see your post.

Hmmmm very strange this

If I try posting a reply that contains a web address (even though it has to be copied and pasted as it's not a link as such - if u catch my drift), the message isn't posted. However, I can reply as long as there's no web address in the reply

I even tried putting a space in the web address so it looked like: vikingmagiccompany .com - but it still wouldn't post it lol
As soon as I took out the .com part, it posted the reply

Yup. It was fine before christmas, but then the amount of characters you could have in a comment seemed to drop and also now you can't put URLs in. Youtube has also been very slow at uploading videos.
