Hello there. My name is Art, and I'm living in Connecticut, USA. I'm an avid pool player and an amateur magician.

Once upon a time long-long ago, I got the chance to see Doug Henning perform on Broadway in New York. Well, that made me to want to do more than just watch the art of MAgic. So I started reading up on magic and learning a few tricks. I got to do a small amount of magic for my children and their friends. I'm not sure if they were bored but I sure enjoyed it. I've been retired a few years now(I'm 68) and the past couple of years I've gotten into it more and more. I enjoy doing close up magic for friends and acquaintances. The internet has made it easy to meet new people who share my interest in magic. I hope I can share my love for magic and my knowledge here at Talkmagic.

My latest effect is the STS which I did at lunch today for the folks at the senior center. It got great reviews. Normally I will carry with me a few rubber bands on one wrist for CMH and Pinacle Ring and Band, plus a few other band tricks. I always have a 3 card packet for "Close up Illusion" in my wallet. If I'm carrying a TT, I'll have a couple of special bills for the "Traveling Holes" effect. A deck of Bikes in my jacket is set up for "Here then There" and "Red Hot Mama". With the "Biddle Trick" thrown in between those two.
