ive been working with my raven and the set up they show you in the instructions, is no good. I am wondering if anyone can private message me or send me a vid of how to set it up in a short sleeve or in an easier manner.

There is a DVD that you can buy from penguin magic or other stores called 'The Raven dvd' or 'Raven dvd'.

Just found a link for you:

that is a horrible video. today i was experimenting with a way to do it in a dress coat with the sleeves up. i htink ill use that a little bit, but that is the best way to do it short sleved. the video just says run it through your belt. non of it is practicle.

If you think it's tricky to use with short sleves, try using it wearing a dress. It took me ages to work out a way to do it.

Interesting point, I never thought about it before but I guess ladies might need to use Raven with the other hand compared to men in shirts?

Just goes to show that with the appplication of some grey matter you can usually find a solution yourself. Well done mistress

Shirts or any button up tops are easy enough but yes we do have to use the other hand.

Dresses are more tricky but I found two nice ways to do it. One was to sew a hidden pocket just under the arm and the other involved a modified handbag (this was my favourite).

Mandrake adopts the frighteningly accurate persona of Dame Edith Evans as Lady Bracknell in The Importance of being Earnest and utters the immortal words

A handbag?????????

I really miss my raven, I managed to leave it in the toilets of the County Hotel in Ashford.

Fingers crossed I think I might be getting a new one as a late xmas pressie from a friend.

The raven is much better done with sleeves.. The set up is a lot easier too, all you have to do is find the sweet spot on the seam which leaves the raven at the desired point at which you can gain access to it and make sure when released it positions at a point which is not identifiable by a spectator.

The Dvd never gave me any new Ideas.. but I did get it about 5 months after using my raven, got it on the cheap. But it might give you some I ideas so I would suggest picking it up
