Hi from the Netherlands

Postby PParker » Jan 8th, '07, 02:39

Hi all,

My name is Ronald (PParker is choosen from Spiderman) and I'm from the Netherlands.

I re-discovered magic on one of my holidays in France. My own kids were old enough and they brought friends along. That's when I started doing magic again.

The funny thing was when a 'real' magician was doing his show that same vacation. He got there a few hours earlier to entertain the kids. He learned them a couple of tricks, so they could amaze there friends back home after they returned from their holidays. One of the tricks he learned them was a trick I did earlier for my two sons and their holiday friends. One little French boy discovered my secret that way. He looked at me with that 'so that's how you do that' look, came over to me and smacked me on the bottom. LOL

From that moment magic found me back again.

I try to gain tricks and experience to amaze adults now. My favorite are card and impromptu tricks trying to avoid the standard old school tricks.

I study and practise on a weekly basis and I started to follow lectures when the opportunity is there. The last one was from Losander, showing and explaining his levitation tricks. That way I not only gain knowledge but I also get to know other people who are interested in magic.

See you in the forum.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
