That's the easy part - getting us out again will be the difficult bit  !

they employ people for that kind of work.
or, we find a 24 hour joint, perhaps the casino? I'm already a member, and just stay there til the convention kicks up again

ahhh, good ol' Balckpool, looks like a good line-up this year. It was the first time i went last year and i had only been learning magic for a couple of months, it should be much better this time. No doubt nearly everyone in the world will be in the ruskin afterwards.

Looks like I might be able to make the Friday now. My boyfriend wants to go up to Manchester to do some cycle training on the track they've got up there so we're thinking about making it that Friday so he can ride and I'll shop. Just need to make sure I'm back home by Saturday afternoon.

I'm having trouble finding somewhere to stay. probably not searching for the right thing, and this stupid computer keeps blocking half the sites i try to go on! grrr
anyone got any suggestions for a student with not a lot of money?
i#ll probably end up not booking anywhere then going and having to walk a couple of miles there and back every day, ah well.
or i could find a hostel
where's everyone else staying?

and that's why my plan of turning up without booking anything and walking about til i find somewhere isn't SUCH a stupid one.
although I'm not getting there til mid friday afternoon and want to miss as little as possible. i may just come late thursday night and have 4 nights there

Yeah, I'm just gonna turn up and see what happens. I'm not much of a planner (and just lazy).

As mentioned elsewhere, a lot of the Blackpool Hotels close in February for maintenance, redecorating etc. but there should still be plenty open for business. As long as they're within walking/drunkenly staggering distance of the Winter Gardens, they'll be OK. Each day is filled with magic until late at night so you won’t be spending a lot of time in the hotel anyway.

How about this for a situation. I am working till 23.15 on friday night, up at 5.30 saturday morning to work for 4 hours, finishing at 10.30. I then have to get upto Blackpool before anything important starts, oh and i still havent bought a ticket. Going to buy it now though i think!
