Erase a card

Postby totalmagic » Jan 7th, '07, 23:20

If you scrub any part of a bicycle card with a regaular eraser the face will actually erase. So you can make a Ace of hearts with the heart mising in the center. You can do many tricks with this like aparently rubbing the number off a card. It probebly works on other brands of cards but i have never tried it

This is an old technique used for some routines - tey a very fine piece of sandpaper. Same result but a little quicker.

I've tried wire wool in the past, and found it to be really orribly messy, leaves a grey residue on the cards???

Fine grade sandpaper seems the best—but to get into the nooks and crannies of the vellum type finish, I'd recommend that you go heavy on the rubbing!

true..but sometimes that smeary look is what's needed...

by the way, i saw on the magic gadget site today that they're selling sheets of suit transfers for nefarious card purposes for around 4 quid...

If you use sandpaper it can go into the second layer as a bicycle card is made up of 3 layers front, middle and back so if you do use this meathod just be extremely carefull
