Postby Bumacus » Dec 14th, '06, 20:56

Anybody know where i can buy IT (but alot of it). This is pretty expensive for what it actually is. Is there a site that sells big lengths??

You can try making your own... but I don't think you'll be able to get decent thread wholesale.

Local fabric or hobby shops sometimes carry it.

One near me sells it, something like 300' for $10. not sure though, i still have plenty for a long time ago.

One of my friends buys IT around here in spools...pretty cheap too. I forget the exact name of the type of T it is, but it is just as thin as IT and costs about the same amount. I am pretty sure though, that the kind he buys is actually stretchy, so I am not sure if that would help at all.

Anyway, I will ask him tomorrow and let you know what it is called.

If it would not be exposure, please let us know what you need it for, it might make it a bit easier to help you,

Bumping into an old topic, but I believe Mike Danata makes his own and sells it in large amounts.

I imagine you could probably buy some from his website or you could punch it into Google.

IT wholesale

Postby artinct » Jan 2nd, '07, 16:09

You can purchase IT in bulk from Jo-ann's fabric stores. It is sold as WOOLLY NYLON, the preferred color is BLACK. A 1,000/m spool cost about $8 USD. A spool should last you a couple of lifetimes.
try joann.com

Michael Ammar recommends buying 'Woolly Nylon.'

I recommend a trip to Bhs around the lingerie department.

Seriously, only for the IT...
