just learnt a new lil flourish.. haven't got it down 100% yet but its getting there, The handling's a lil different to dynamos but its basically the same thing tell me what ya think..

Nice one. Try to get it consistent and it'll look great . This is really the same type of flourish as Jerry Cestkowski's brushing of a single card but done with the foot. If you like the Dynamo flourish, get the Buck Twin's notes (forgot which one) to learn the vertigo hackisak!

Great flourish! While I participated in a magic convention outside Copenhagen (I think it was 1997) “everybody” was trying to do this type of flourish. I remeber that Gregory Wilson, American magician and two time FISM winner, was quite good at this, and some of it appeared later on his DVDs. Of course the name “dynamo flourish” is not historical correct if we are talking about who first “invented the flourish”. However, I think Gregory Wilsons handling - or should I say footling - might be slightly different, and it’s the first time I saw someone do it exactly like you. Very impressive!

It's neither. Top Shot is a move by Lennart Green and Hot Shot is a move by Daryl.

The move vdave3000 used is called, I think, "Long Distance Spinner". I think that's what Ricky Jay calls it. Jerry Cestkowski, I believe, calls it the Thumb Propulsion.

As to where to learn it, I think Penguin has an instant download for it. Ricky Jay's "Card as Weapons" might have it.. I'm not sure. Jerry Cestkowski's Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes has it also.

Stevebo is right its the LDS but I dont think its Ricky Jays I know McBride on his art of dvds teachies how to do the LDS and On the Art of card throwing dvd its taught how to do the thing with your foot.

Ok it may be Ricky Jays, I was thinking it was Martin Lewis but Martin Lewis spinner move is done with the fore finger not the thumb.

Not too sure what the last sentence means but I think it means something like it's not created by Ricky Jay.

Anyways, there are many methods of propelling cards from the deck such as Devo's "Vertical Spin", Jerry's "Pinkie propulsion" based on a move by T.G. Murphy, etc.

I'm not too sure why I'm writing all this... maybe because I'm really borreeedddddddddd.
