Hello Daniel and welcome to TM!
One of the Magician's ethics is not to reveal magic.
Some magicians perform magic for a living, others create magic to sell to magicians and if you reveal magic, you are making it more difficult for those fellow magicians. Like has been pointed out, copyright material will get corporate lawyers breathing down your neck.
Learn magic honestly, practice, then practice some more and then feel the thrill to perform for family, friends and later others, when you do your magic and hear the gasps and applause.
If they can all learn the tricks on your website, you might as well skip performing, everybody know's it anyway
Best greetings from Iceland!

Hi Daniel, welcome to TM!

It's great to see that you're keen but I agree with everyone else about giving away magic tricks.

Think of it this way, you wouldn't be too happy if you'd spent time and effort making something only to find that people were copying what you'd done and giving it away. By all means create your own tricks and put them on your site, but then again if you did that everyone would know how they were done and there wouldn't be any point in performing.

Anyway you seem happy to listen to what everyone has to say so I'm sure you'll do just fine here. Have fun. :D

yeah, have fun...all i'll say is just remember its kinda all our duty to protect magic, and keep its secrets..well, secret...

think of it like this - imagine you're performing at school or college, you work hard at your performance...no one is impressed, they just go pffft and walk off...why? cos they can see it on youtube or elsewhere...

hope you enjoy it here, and remember "a magician guards an empty box"

Thank you
