Elastic Band Hell

Postby Farlsborough » Oct 12th, '06, 01:20

Hi guys,
This feels like such a stupid question but has anyone found a good place to buy small but wide elastic bands? I need just one for a small pile of cards for a couple of Out To Lunch based tricks - but absolutely nowhere stocks them! I've thought of using ribbon but it just seems suspicious to me - it's such a pain to get the cards in and out, with little flexibility on the number of cards in the pile - it would immediately make me think "why isn't this guy using an elastic band like normal...?"

Cheers!

Hey Farlsborough.
I have made wide elastic bands, cutting the rubber airhose for a tire with a sharp knife to the width I needed. You can buy different size hose, from bicycle to tractor...
You can also check out the Rubber band spec sheet of Alliance.

Thanks for that - I did wonder about an inner tube and after your recommendation I stopped by the local bike repair show to pick up a knackered old one - works a charm! :)
