About Bloody Time!!!

Postby Beardy » Jan 17th, '07, 20:07

I have been practicing for months, and have finally created a method to do two coin rolls at once...ON THE SAME HAND!

Now I don't know if this has been done, but I have a nice little sense of achievement about it, as now I can coin roll normally in both hands, do both at the same time, and do two coins on my dominant hand.

Now all that is left is to be able to do four coins at once - two on each hand!

Just thought I would share this with you all :D

Now I wonder if it is possible to do three at once........

;)

Love

Study Jeff McBride. He's already beat you to this and he does more than two coins in one hand.

Yeah, I've been working on this one for awhile now too. I'm not brilliant at it yet but I can usually make a couple of rounds before I get muddled up. It's a good thing to practice in boring lectures :)

Two in each hand was the most I got up to. But its the sort of thing that if you haven't done it in a while, you don't totally lose it, but it takes a bit of practice to get back up to scratch. So unless you constantly practice it, its not something you would perform regularly, plus people tend just to think you are a show off. I suppose like most fancy flourishes its really only fully appreciated by fellow prestidigitators

I don't really perform the coin roll much at all. I mainly use it as a method of warming up and keeping my fingers nimble. I've gotten into the habit of automatically picking up a coin and rolling it whenever I sit down, I sometime almost forget I am doing it.

It can also be useful as an initiator. A few times, when I'm just sitting in a hallway or on the subway, someone will notice what I am doing and come up to me. That way, I know that I have an interested person and I can go from there.

It's just fun.

As far as i know Jeff McBride holds a guiness book of records mention for this move. I think its the most coins rolled simultaneously which i think is 7!
